The ballet "Don Quixote" is considered one of the best choreographic creations of Marius Petipa. His travels through the cities of Spain not only left a bright mark on his life, but also helped in many ways in creating a vibrant ballet.

Even in his time, the creator of Don Quixote, Cervantes, wrote about Spanish dances: “It seemed that Joy itself was rushing and Fun itself was jumping.” Marius Petipa, as if he took over the words of Cervantes, embodying this brightness on the stage, and creating a magnificent festive performance, forever included in the classics of ballet art.
