The musical basis of the ballet was the soundtrack of the rock opera "Juno" and "Avos" by Alexei Rybnikov.

The plot is based on the romantic love story of the Russian traveler Nikolai Rezanov and the daughter of the governor of San Francisco, Maria Conchita Argüello de la Concepción. Caught in 1806 off the coast of California on two sailboats - "Juno" and "Avos", an expedition led by the famous Russian traveler Nikolai Rezanov. Being at the reception of the governor, he meets sixteen-year-old Conchita. But the girl has a fiancé, a duel begins, and Rezanov is forced to leave without obtaining permission to marry a Catholic. In Siberia, in Krasnoyarsk, he dies of a cold, and his beloved, having not received reliable information about him, waits for him for another 35 years, after which he goes to the nun ...
